AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER

            A CONTRACT WITH CENTURY LINK SALES SOLUTIONS

             FOR A NEW PHONE SYSTEM FOR THE ADMINISTRATION          BUILDING AND POLICE DEPARTMENT AND DECLARING AN

            EMERGENCY

 

WHEREAS,  the current phone system at City Hall is old and obsolete and the power backup system does not function; and, 

 

WHEREAS,  maintenance of the system may not be possible due to the age of the equipment; and,

 

WHEREAS,  it would be beneficial to the City for service and support of the phone system to be provided by a local company; and,

 

NOW, THEREFORE

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORTLAND, OHIO:

 

Section 1.   That the Council of the City of Cortland does hereby authorize the Mayor to enter into a contract with Century Link Sales Solutions, 665 Lexington Avenue, Mansfield, Ohio 44907.

 

Section 2.  The total cost not to exceed $ 6,322.56 will be paid from the following funds:

 

                                                10-J-251                      $ 2,107.52

                                                60-J-251                      $ 2,107.52

                                                70-J-251                      $ 2,107.52

 

Section 3.  This ordinance having the procedural rules suspended shall take effect immediately as being in the best interest of the public health, safety and welfare of the residents of Cortland.
